Ryobi Impact Wrench

Ryobi Impact Wrench

Okay, I bought a new Ryobi Impact Wrench.  All i can say is Ryobi got me again. The day they brought out new batteries that would retrofit to my old drills and saws, I started looking at buying more stuff. You can never have enough tools, especially cordless power tools.

So I am getting ready to install the Pontoon Wholesalers third pontoon kit. I need to drill a bunch of holes in the mounting rails and bolt the rails to the bottom of the boat deck.

I was thinking a new cordless impact wrench would work great to help install the rails.

Guess who makes a cordless 3-speed half inch Drive Impact Wrench, Ryobi.

A quick trip to Home Depot found Ryobi impact wrench in stock and now in my toolbox.

Interestingly the first test of the impact wrench came with the boat trailer wheels, both tires on the port (left) side went flat and had to be repaired so I had to remove and replace them.

Anyway the impact wrench works great. More to follow.

On the road with Scott Sky Smith. Please excuse any errors.

Ryobi did it again

I am always looking for tools…oh and tools that can be easily used, transported, carried etc.  As I have mentioned before I have anew respect for Ryobi because they created lithium batteries that I can us in my old tools.

Well they also make a RYOBI 18V ONE+ Pole Saw (tree trimmer) that uses the same Ryobi batteries. I ordered it online from Home Depot for $99 shipped to my door. Got a chance to use it last weekend to cut out a few dead limbs.  I had so much fun I cant wait until this weekend to cut a few more dead limbs.

It uses an eight inch chain saw blade and the standard Ryobi 18V ONE+ battery pack. I pulled the battery out of the drill and stuck it in the tree trimmer and used it all afternoon. I haven’t recharged it yet.  It was cutting limbs up to 4 inches.  Less mess than a gas trimmer  and no long extension cords to get tangled up for the plug in type.

Now I am thinking of going back and buying a  hedge trimmer for the Ryobi 18V ONE+ battery.  No more cutting my extension cord.
