Ryobi Impact Wrench
Ryobi Impact Wrench
Okay, I bought a new Ryobi Impact Wrench. All i can say is Ryobi got me again. The day they brought out new batteries that would retrofit to my old drills and saws, I started looking at buying more stuff. You can never have enough tools, especially cordless power tools.
So I am getting ready to install the Pontoon Wholesalers third pontoon kit. I need to drill a bunch of holes in the mounting rails and bolt the rails to the bottom of the boat deck.
I was thinking a new cordless impact wrench would work great to help install the rails.
Guess who makes a cordless 3-speed half inch Drive Impact Wrench, Ryobi.
A quick trip to Home Depot found Ryobi impact wrench in stock and now in my toolbox.
Interestingly the first test of the impact wrench came with the boat trailer wheels, both tires on the port (left) side went flat and had to be repaired so I had to remove and replace them.
Anyway the impact wrench works great. More to follow.

Pontoon Gazebo
I have a bad habit of not wanting to drill holes in my boats so I started a search for alternate ways to mount the brackets that the gazebo poles fit into. And what if I want to trade the ‘toon for a bigger and faster ‘toon… then I have to buy the brackets again. But if I had a clamp system it could just move the gazebo to whatever boat I needed it on. Don’t worry Jeanne; I am not thinking of trading!
Now I need some time and good weather to install the clamps and Taylormade Gazebo and see if it all works as advertised. If so, I will have shade for the front of the ‘toon, for less than 200 bucks. That is a pretty good deal.
